The Reading Room Reading Series
About
Formerly known as "The Boiler Room Reading Series" takes place three times during the spring and fall semesters. The readings begin at 4:00 pm on dates indicated on the semester readings link and are held in the Simpkins Hall Student Lounge & Reading Room (Simpkins 025) on the ground floor.
Each reading pairs two student writers with a faculty member. The goal is to provide an opportunity for our students (undergraduate and graduate) to share their work in a public space, and to showcase the creative work of our faculty so students will view them as active artists as well as educators.
The readings are free and open to the public.
Some semesters we will have open mic night!
