Kim Ekena

Mr. Ekena, a 1980 WIU finance graduate, has been Vice President of Marketing for the American River Transportation Company in Decatur, IL for the past eight years. He is responsible for the marketing and trading of the company’s barge freight as well as developing and growing their supply chain. At ADM, Ekena supervised 20 grain terminal managers working with them on customer relationships and growing company market share. He was also involved with the development and growth of the company’s river terminals.

Since 1990, Ekena has been a member of the National Grain and Feed Association’s Trade Rules Committee; serving as its chairperson from 2006–2008. He is a WIU Campus Champion and is a charter member of the Advisory Board for the Supply Chain Management program. Read more...
