University News Release (through University Relations)
University news releases provide the greatest coverage. Links to these stories will appear on the WIU home page as well as on the CBT home page and each department/school home page. WIU's University Relation's office prepares news/feature stories for distribution to newspapers, radio and television stations, wire services, specialty publications, and other outlets, as well as the University News bulletin board, the University's website, and social media outlets.

Photo Opportunites
CBT is always in need of new photos for the website and for print materials (Ex: student interactive classroom or outdoor activites, business students professionally dressed). CBT will contact WIU's Visual Production Center and schedule a photographer.
Campus Connection (employee newsletter)
Campus Connection is produced by the Office of University Relations at Western Illinois University. With the exception of the first month of each semester, the Campus Connection employee newsletter, viewed by faculty, staff, WIU alumni, and retirees, is published the first and third Friday during fall and spring semester when the University in in session and approximately twice during the summer.
Electronic submission of material is preferred, either through the Campus Connection online submission form or by e-mailing the Connection editor at CampusConnection@wiu.edu. Deadline to submit materials for consideration is 10 a.m. Tuesday of each publication week
