2024-10-09 to 2024-10-11

On Oct. 10 at 1:53 p.m., a WIU employee reported the theft of two 25-foot extension cords, valued at $50, by Hanson Field. The investigation is ongoing.

On Oct. 10 at 9:51 p.m., Tristin E. Duncan, 22, of Effingham, IL, was arrested for disobeying a stop sign and an existing McDonough County warrant for violation of a court order. He was transported to the McDonough County Jail at 11:45 p.m. where he was lodged.

On Oct. 11 at 11:48 a.m, OPS and the Macomb Fire Department responded to report of a fire at Lincoln Hall. A filter in the air conditioning unit caught on fire causing smoke to set off the alarm. No injuries were reported.
