Support the Future of Higher Education: Invest in CSP Students
I have found that among its other benefits, giving liberates the soul of the giver. - Maya Angelou
Through the generous donations of alumni, the CSP program offers annual (non-renewable) scholarships to current graduate students enrolled in the major. These donations also help our students attend conferences, join national organizations like ACPA or NASPA, explore other forms of professional development, gain access to electronic textbooks through our university library, and participate in activities that enrich their graduate experience.
If you are interested in making a donation to a student scholarship or giving to our foundation account to support the CSP program and its students in other ways, click the button below. It should automatically populate with College Student Personnel Program (CSP).

Current Wish List
In 2025, we are excited to invite contributions that will directly support a wide range of strategic initiatives aimed at strengthening the CSP program. These efforts are thoughtfully designed to enrich the academic experience, expand professional development opportunities, and provide essential resources that empower our students to thrive. Your support helps us fund conference travel, innovative programming designed by our students, and more—ensuring that our future student affairs professionals are well-prepared to lead with purpose, compassion, and insight.
Professional Organization Membership Support
- Help us continue funding our ACPA Graduate Preparation Program Membership, which ranges from $799 to $1,099 annually. This membership provides our students with valuable access to professional resources, networking opportunities, and national leadership in the student affairs field.
- We also aim to provide financial support for students who are interested in joining NASPA by covering the cost of their membership, particularly for those planning to attend NASPA conferences or get involved in knowledge communities and other communities of engagement.
Conference Support
- Your continued support helps our students attend important professional conferences. In spring 2025, we proudly hosted alumni receptions at both ACPA in Long Beach, California (February) and NASPA in New Orleans (March). These events celebrated our alumni, fostered meaningful connections with current students, and honored the impactful legacy of Dr. Tracy Davis. Both faculty and students from our program were in attendance, making these conferences a powerful blend of learning, networking, and community.
Textbook Support
- Support our efforts to fund textbooks. While we've worked hard to minimize the number of required textbooks by utilizing free resources, students typically still need at least two books each semester. Your contributions allow us to purchase textbooks and build our own CSP library. Ultimately, our goal is to provide students with the opportunity to borrow textbooks directly from the department each semester.
Western Pride Support
- Join us in supporting our students by donating WIU gear to our CSP Clothing Drive! This initiative provides incoming students with essential WIU memorabilia and clothing, especially since not all assistantship sites have the budget to supply polos or t-shirts. Your donations will help spread WIU pride across campus and foster a deeper connection for our students to their new community. Donate any WIU gear you no longer need and contribute to our foundation account. Your generosity will allow us to purchase discounted items from the University Bookstore, WIU Athletics, and the local Goodwill.
Endowment Fund Support
- Help us honor Dr. Tracy L. Davis by supporting the establishment of the Tracy L. Davis CSP Endowment Fund. This fund will provide crucial assistance to students facing emergency situations and help cover essential program costs. Dr. Davis, who is retiring in 2025 after over 26 years of service to the WIU CSP program, has made a lasting impact on countless students and the community. While we had hoped to launch the fund in time for the Western Challenge on April 24, 2025, we are taking a bit more time to ensure everything is in place. We ask for your patience—and encourage you to stay tuned for updates! Your support will help us honor Dr. Davis' legacy and ensure continued success for our students.
