RPTH Strategic Planning

Western Illinois University's Recreation, Park, Tourism, and Hospitality is accredited by the Council on Accreditation of Parks, Recreation, Tourism and Related Professions (COAPRT). The Council on Accreditation of Parks, Recreation, Tourism and Related Professions (COAPRT) accredits baccalaureate programs in parks, recreation, tourism, sport management, event management, therapeutic recreation, and leisure studies offered at regionally accredited institutions within the United States and its territories, and at nationally accredited institutions in Canada, and Mexico. The department has been accredited since 1978.

As part of our ongoing effort to better serve students, RPTH has created a strategic plan that outlines our goals for the next three years. To help us achieve those goals, we, in accordance with guidance from the Provost's Office, are implementing the Objectives and Key Results (OKR) formula popularized by John Doerr. Every month we will assess our performance on our OKRs to enhance our short-term and one year operational success.
