Mandated Reporter Training and Status Form

Pursuant to the Abused and Neglected Child Reporting Act (ANCRA), student teachers are considered mandated reporters of child abuse and neglect when acting in their professional or official capacity. You must complete the online training before you will be cleared to student teach.

Mandated Reporter Training

Allow 60-90 minutes to complete the Mandated Reporter Training. Use your WIU email to create an account. Your role for the training is teacher. The company is WIU. Save your certificate to submit to the Office of Teacher Education. If you have previously completed the training, it cannot be more than two years old. 

Mandated Reporter Status Form

Complete the status form to indicate your acknowledgement that you are a mandated reporter as a student teacher. For type of employment, enter student teacher. Save your status form to submit to the Office of Teacher Education.
