MACOMB, IL - - Four Western Illinois University students took the next step toward their future careers this winter.

Ruth Hounkpe, Mary Otu, Tawakalit Ibiyeye and Boluwatife Ogunsanya passed the Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) exam as part of the WIU Supply Chain Management (SCM) program. Project management is a required course for all SCM students at WIU, with students having the option to take the CAPM exam through the highly esteemed Project Management Institute.

"The CAPM credential is a valuable tool for our students and a differentiator in the job market," Honey Zimmerman, WIU assistant professor of Management and Marketing, said. "The skills learned in this course, and through the training for the CAPM exam, will better prepare SCM majors for greater success in their professional careers. I want to personally congratulate Ruth, Kalit, Mary and Boluwatife on passing the CAPM Certification. The exam is tough. This achievement is truly commendable, and I'm so proud of them."

The CAPM Project within the WIU SCM program is funded by a generous donation from ADM Cares.
