Miguel to Perform Jazz Classics on Feb. 9

MACOMB, IL - The Western Illinois University School of Music will present a Faculty Recital featuring vocalist Nicholas Miguel at 5 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 9, in the College of Fine Arts and Communication (COFAC) Recital Hall.
During this evening of standards and jazz classics, Miguel will perform with the H.A.T. Trio featuring bassist Matt Hughes, pianist Whitney Ashe and guitarist George Turner. Also featured on the program is guest saxophonist Jeff Miguel.
This performance is open free to the public.
The program will include:

- Sweet Lorraine - Albert Hague (Nat King Cole "After Midnight")
- My Sugar is So Refined - Sid Lippmann (Nat King Cole Trio)
- Sweet Pumpkin - Ronnell Bright (Samara Joy "Linger Awhile")
- Young and Foolish - Albert Hague (Tony Bennett and Bill Evans)
- When in Rome - Cy Coleman (Tony Bennett and Bill Evans)
- Desafinado - Antônio Carlos Jobim (Stan Getz, Joao Gilberto)
- Doralice - Antonio Almeida & Dorival Caymmi (Stan Getz, Joao Gilberto)
- Corcovado - Antônio Carlos Jobim (Stan Getz, Joao Gilberto)
- Joe Sings the Blues - Joe Williams and Count Basie
