Join President Mindrup and the Coalition for Transforming Higher Education to Learn about Equitable University Funding

MACOMB, IL - - Western Illinois University faculty, staff and students, as well as community members and WIU stakeholders are invited to join WIU President Kristi Mindrup and the Coalition for Transforming Higher Education from noon-2 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 20 in the University Union to learn about transforming higher education funding in Illinois.

The event will be an opportunity to have an in-depth conversation about SB 13, or the Adequate and Equitable Funding Formula, which has the potential to reshape higher education in Illinois and empower universities to drive greater opportunity for students and communities.

Learn about the bill's significance for Illinois, students, and the state economy from expert researchers and panelists. Attendees will also have the opportunity to ask questions and engage with fellow higher education advocates about the bill and higher education funding in our state.

Led by Senate Majority Leader Kimberly A. Lightford and State Representative Carol Ammons, SB 13 is Illinois' best chance at creating a higher education system that serves the needs of all students and public institutions across the state.
