WIU Jazz Festival February 14-15

MACOMB, IL - The Western Illinois University School of Music will present the 52nd Annual Jazz Festival on Friday, Feb. 14, and Saturday, Feb. 15, in the College of Fine Arts and Communication (COFAC) Recital Hall.
Friday's main event will be a 7:30 p.m. concert by the WIU Jazz Band and Jazz Studio Orchestra (JSO) featuring acclaimed trombonist, composer and educator, Stafford Hunter.
This year, student ensembles will participate in two workshops with our jazz faculty and guest artists. There will also be clinics for all instruments and a jam session hosted by the Hopper Jazztet, WIU's acclaimed faculty jazz ensemble.
The program will include:

Swiss Air - Ernie Wilkins
Rhoda Map - Thad Jones
All performances are open free to the public. Friday's 7:30 p.m. concert will be live-streamed on the School of Music's YouTube channel and Facebook page
