WIU Awards 2025-2026 President’s Scholarship to Olivia Brodbeck
March 12, 2025

MACOMB, IL – Western Illinois University (WIU) is proud to announce Olivia Brodbeck of Batchtown, IL, as a 2025–2026 recipient of the President's Scholarship, awarded in conjunction with the AIM HIGH Western Commitment Scholarship. This prestigious scholarship provides full coverage of tuition, fees, a double residence hall room and a standard board plan for eight semesters.
Brodbeck, a longtime agriculture enthusiast, carefully considered her options before selecting WIU. She was drawn to the university's strong agriculture program, dedicated faculty and welcoming campus environment.
Coming from a small high school, she valued WIU's close-knit community and the many extracurricular and community-based opportunities available. With a passion for precision agriculture and agronomy, Brodbeck plans to use her education to support local farmers, ultimately working toward establishing an agricultural dealership with her father.
"I knew I wanted to go into agriculture for many years, but finding the right school was challenging," Brodbeck said. "Western's agriculture department stood out to me because of its top-notch reputation, incredible faculty and strong sense of community. I'm excited to be part of this program and look forward to getting involved in organizations like Ag Vocators, Collegiate FFA and Hoof-N-Horn Club. WIU feels like home and I can't wait to start this next chapter."
To qualify for the WIU President's Scholarship, students must first be awarded WIU's AIM HIGH Western Commitment Scholarship. Additional criteria include demonstrated volunteerism and community service.
