WIU Awards 2025-2026 President’s Scholarship to Sadie Ramos

MACOMB, IL – Western Illinois University (WIU) is proud to announce Sadie Ramos of Loves Park, IL, as a 2025–2026 recipient of the President's Scholarship, awarded in conjunction with the AIM HIGH Western Commitment Scholarship. This prestigious scholarship provides full coverage of tuition, fees, a double residence hall room and a standard board plan for eight semesters.

When visiting WIU, Ramos felt comfortable, appreciating its small-town environment. She plans to pursue a degree in Speech Pathology and Audiology and become a speech therapist.

"I have been involved in many student organizations such as the Mayor's Youth Leadership Council, Key Club, Jazz Band, National Honor Society, Cross Country, Tennis, Track and Field and Rotary," Ramos said. "I would like to study abroad at WIU and explore opportunities within the Women's Center, Environmental Science Club, Student Government Association, intramural sports and more!"

Following graduation, Ramos plans to continue her education in graduate school and further develop her expertise in speech pathology.

To qualify for the WIU President's Scholarship, students must first be awarded WIU's AIM HIGH Western Commitment Scholarship. Additional criteria include demonstrated volunteerism and community service.
