Western Mathematics Teachers Conference Coming April 11

MACOMB, IL - - Western Illinois University will hold its 71st annual Western Mathematics Teachers Conference from 8:30 a.m.-2:50 p.m. Friday, April 11, in Horrabin Hall.
This year's theme, "TAG: You're It! Tasks, Activities and Games to Increase Student Engagement and Understanding," will focus on how to configure lessons to spark curiosity and use games to help unlock strategies and fun in the classroom.
The keynote speakers for this year's conference include:
Kyle Harlow, a math teacher and department chair at Herrin High School in Herrin, IL.
Howie Hua is a mathematics instructor at Fresno State University where he teaches math to future elementary school teachers. Howie has become very popular on social media and was recently the closing speaker at the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics (NCTM) annual conference.
Annie Forest, a 20-year math educator, who is passionate about bringing curiosity to math learning and teaching.
Attendees can register at this link. Registration costs $90 for regular attendees and $20 for full-time students, with each participant receiving a box lunch.
