Ginsberg Retirement Celebration Recital March 30

MACOMB, IL - The Western Illinois University School of Music will present a Faculty "Retirement Celebration" Recital, featuring clarinetist Eric Ginsberg, pianist Po-Chuan Chiang and Guests, at 3 p.m., Sunday, March 30, in the College of Fine Arts and Communication (COFAC) Recital Hall.

Eric Ginsberg has been a Professor of Clarinet and Clarinetist in the Camerata Woodwind Quintet, in residence at WIU, since 1996. He'll be joined by special guests WIU collaborative pianist Po-Chuan Chiang, soprano and WIU alumna Bethany Worrell, currently the Director of Vocal Studies and Assistant Professor of Voice at the University of Missouri–St. Louis and Roger Garrett, associate professor of Clarinet and Conducting, emeritus, at Illinois Wesleyan University. To conclude the performance, Garrett will conduct a large ensemble of current WIU and alumni, clarinetists who've studied with Ginsberg through the years.

This performance is open free for general audience seating and will be live-streamed on the School of Music's YouTube channel.
