WIU Professor Tracy Davis Retires in May 2025

MACOMB, IL - - Western Illinois University College Student Personnel (CSP) Professor Tracy Davis in the Counselor Education, CSP and Social Work department will retire this May. The CSP program will celebrate Davis' incredible career with a retirement party from 2-4 p.m. Friday, April 25 in Horrabin Hall, room 81.

"Davis' retirement in May 2025 marks the end of an extraordinary chapter in the CSP program at WIU. For over two decades, Davis has been a cornerstone of the program, inspiring countless students with his unwavering commitment to social justice, transformative leadership and the professional development of student affairs practitioners," CSP Graduate Program Coordinator Julie Brines said. "His groundbreaking work, including his contributions to advancing equity in higher education and his dedication to mentoring students and colleagues alike, has left an indelible mark on the field. As we celebrate Davis' remarkable career, we also honor the profound legacy he leaves behind—a legacy that will continue to shape the CSP program and its graduates for years to come."

The retirement celebration is a special opportunity for all those who have been impacted by Davis' work, whether as a student, colleague or friend, to come together, enjoy dessert and share memories of his incredible career and legacy. All are welcome to join.
