'Leatherneck First Four Days' Aug. 21-24

MACOMB, IL - - The New Student and Family Programs, in partnership with other offices on campus, is excited to present the "Leatherneck First Four Days" with a variety of activities and events for the incoming class. From Thursday, Aug. 21-Sunday, Aug. 24, students will have several opportunities to interact with various offices through numerous fun events.
The Leatherneck First Four Days starts with the Rocky's Union Kickoff from 8:30-10:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 21 at the University Union basement. Students can snap a pic in the photo booth, use their skills in the escape room, create their art deco wall art for their new room or enjoy some life-size games and video games in The 'Neck.
The second day, Friday, Aug. 22, features several events. The mobile Campus Scavenger Hunt hosted by EventZee (with prizes for the top 3 teams) will take place from 1-3 p.m. The New Student Welcome Picnic will be held from 4:30-6 p.m. on the campus mall near the Malpass Library. The day ends with the annual Rocky After Dark from 6-10 p.m. on Hanson Field.
On Saturday, Aug. 23, students can experience the Digital Rec Center (open from 1-5 p.m.), participate in mini-golf and outdoor activities from 2-4 p.m. at the Ball Fore Entertainment Center and drop in to the Welcome Back Bash hosted by the Multicultural Center from 6-9 p.m.
First Four Days activities conclude with Hypnotist Josh McVicar at 8:30 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 24 in the University Union Grand Ballroom.
