WIU-QC Announces 2025 Welcome Week

MOLINE, IL – Western Illinois University-Quad Cities will host Welcome Week 2025 Monday, Aug. 25-Friday, Aug 29. All events are open to WIU students, staff and faculty members.

"We are thrilled to welcome you to the start of a new WIU school year! To kick things off, we have a full week of scheduled events during Welcome Week to get you introduced to fellow students, staff, faculty, clubs, organizations and our campus. You can expect activities, games, food and WIU gear all week," Steven Sierra, Associate Director of Student Success at WIU-QC, said.

The Welcome Week schedule includes:
Monday, Aug. 25, 8-11 a.m. – Donuts & Coffee (Student Services), Riverfront Hall entrance
Tuesday, Aug. 26, 1-4 p.m. – Paint the Paws (SGA), sidewalks around Riverfront Hall
Tuesday, Aug. 26, 4-6 p.m. – Pizza (Student Services), Riverfront Hall entrance
Wednesday, Aug. 27, 10 a.m.-2 p.m. – Slime, Riverfront Hall Atrium
Wednesday, Aug. 27, 11 a.m.-1 p.m. – Snow Cones, Riverfront Hall kitchenette
Wednesday, Aug. 27, 12-2 p.m. – Outdoor Activities (ACE), location outside Riverfront Hall
Thursday, Aug. 28, 1-4 p.m. – Tie-dye (SGA), Riverfront Hall Atrium patio
Thursday, Aug. 28, 4-6 p.m. – Cookies & Juice (Student Services), Riverfront Hall entrance
Friday, Aug. 29, 10 a.m.-1 p.m. – Cookies & Juice (Student Services), Riverfront Hall entrance


Free snacks and refreshments will be served throughout the week of events.
