G.R. "Bud" Dorethy obituary

MACOMB, IL - - Former Western Illinois University employee G.R. "Bud" Dorethy passed away Wednesday Oct. 15 at his home in Colchester.
Dorethy earned the rank of sergeant at the Office of Public Safety in his first of multiple roles at WIU. He then transferred to the Physical Plant where he served as supervisor of the building craftsmen. He retired from WIU as a locksmith.
Dorethy is survived by his wife Jane, sons Kurt Dorethy of Jerseyville, Walt (Becky) Dorethy, of Colchester, Victor (Stacy) Dorethy of Ipava, Randy Kipling of Kentucky, Danny (Kym) Kipling of New Philadelphia and Jeff Kipling of New Philadelphia along with 15 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Mildred Jarvis Dorethy and three brothers, Delmar, Walter and Carol.
