WIU Presents a Faculty Recital, "The Bassoon Biome" Oct. 29

MACOMB, IL - - The Western Illinois University School of Music will present "The Bassoon Biome", a Faculty Recital featuring bassoonist Andrea Baker at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 29, in the College of Fine Arts and Communication (COFAC) Recital Hall.

Andrea Baker, Assistant Professor of Bassoon, will be joined by collaborators Po-Chuan Chiang, piano; Julianna Eidle, flute; Nicole Gillotti, trumpet and guest Bryce Newcomer, clarinet. Baker and Newcomer will be performing the world premiere of "Desert Tides", a piece for bassoon and clarinet, by composer Alex Shapiro.
