WIU School of Music to Host Recital Nov. 18

MACOMB, IL - - The Western Illinois University School of Music will present a Faculty
Recital featuring Chinese flutist Hong-Da Chin and pianist Po-Chuan Chiang at 7:30
p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 18 in the College of Fine Arts and Communication (COFAC) Recital Hall.
Hong-Da Chin, Assistant Professor of Music Composition and Theory at WIU, is an
accomplished dizi (Chinese flute) performer, specializing in contemporary music. Po-Chuan Chiang, Staff Piano Coordinator and collaborative pianist, maintains an active performance schedule, frequently collaborating with faculty and guest artists.
The duo will be performing two world premiere compositions and one North American premiere.
This performance is free and open to the public, and will be live-streamed on the School of Music's YouTube channel.

Dodging like Taichi (2025) 耍太极 - Hippocrates Cheng 鄭靖楠 (World Premiere)
