Jazz Studio Orchestra Tour Concert Coming Nov. 19

MACOMB, IL - - The Western Illinois University School of Music will present the annual Jazz Studio Orchestra (JSO) Tour Concert at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 19, in the College of Fine Arts and Communication (COFAC) Recital Hall.

The JSO is under the direction of Whitney Ashe, director of Jazz Studies.

The Program will include:

Blues Machine - composed and arranged by Sammy Nestico

Acha - Composed and arranged by Bob Mintzer

Em Uma Semana - Composed and arranged by Alan Baylock

Wiggle Waggle - Composed and arranged by Benny Carter

Dizzyland - Composed and arranged by Don Menza

Hunting Wabbits - Composed and arranged by Gordon Goodwin

Isfahan - Composed and arranged by Billy Strayhorn

You're a Mean One, Mr. Grinch - Composed by Theodore Geisel and Albert Hague/arranged by Bob Thurston

Whisper Not - Composed by Benny Golson/arranged by Mike Abene

Moanin' - Composed by Charles Mingus/arranged by Sy Johnson

Ran Kan Kan - composed by Tito Puente/arranged by Michael Mossman

This performance is open free to the public and will be live-streamed on the School of Music's YouTube channel.
