- Building Unity in the Outdoors: Community to National Parks
- Time: 6:30 PM - 8:00 PM
- Location: Morgan Hall 109
- Description: Join Mr. Earl B. Hunter, Jr., President of Black Folks Camp Too, as he works to build unity and bring people together in outdoor/nature spaces. Mr. Hunter speaks to folks around the country to bring inclusivity to outdoor spaces for all individuals. “We are changing the world, one campfire at a time.”
Before starting his business, Black Folks Camp Too, Mr. Hunter successfully led a sales force for one of the major RV manufacturers in the U.S. His sales and business expertise has enabled him to build many bridges between communities and now he is working to help organizations of all sizes (ex: large state park systems to independently owned campground businesses) into the space of inclusivity.
Black Folks Camp Too’s mission is to “remove fear, add knowledge, and invite more Folks of Color to camp and enjoy the outdoor lifestyle with Any and Everyone. At the center of their logo is the Unity Blaze - forging bonds across all aspects of adventure with the motto You are invited and welcomed!”. Students of all interest areas, ranging from business to community-building ventures, will learn valuable leadership skills from Mr. Hunter through his inspirational talk. - Related Web Site: More Information
