- Collecting for International Students

- Description: Cleaning out closets over the holiday break? Donate to WIU’s International Students
Many international students arrive with few, if any, cold weather apparel and/or household necessities. The Center for Global Studies will be collecting items for the NEW group of international students arriving in a few weeks.
Drop-Off Site:
Horrabin Hall, Room 8
Days & Times:
Dec. 11-14 & 18-20
Jan. 4 & 8-10
8 am - 2 pm
Items Needed:
Bathroom: Shower curtain, Garbage can, Towels, Bath mat, Soap dish
Bedroom: Bedding, Pillows, Blankets, Comforters, Lamps
Winter apparel: Coats, Sweatshirts, Long pants, Socks, Scarves, Hats, Earmuffs, Gloves
Household: Lamps, Small furniture, Laundry basket, Umbrella, Cleaning items, Hangers, Laundry soap
Kitchen: Cooking & Eating utensils, Kitchen towels, Garbage can
Personal Items: Toilet paper, Shampoo, Conditioner, Toothbrush, Toothpaste, Body soap, Loofah, Wash cloths
If you have large furniture items you would like to donate,
email GlobalOutreach@wiu.edu
When an student is identified, donors will be put in contact with the student.
All fabric items must be prewashed or new.
We reserve the right to turn away items.
