I AM NOT INVISIBLE - Interactive Art Exhibit
Time: 12:30 PM - 2:30 PM
Location: Multicultural Center Multipurpose Room
Description: Western Illinois University artist and current graduate student Kendra Hallberg presents the interactive art exhibit, "I AM NOT INVISIBLE," where participants are invited to build the art. The exhibition will take place from 12:30-2:30 p.m., Monday, April 14 in the Multicultural Center Multipurpose room.

Hallberg invites attendees to an interactive art experience in which they will have the opportunity to write their own identities and become part of the work as a whole.

"The event was created in response to what has been happening in the political climate recently. As I was experiencing my own identities, I noticed that a lot of my rights were being affected by recent changes over the past few years," Hallberg said. "This event is to allow everyone to have a space to express who they are creatively. By noticing our differences and similarities, I hope to create a community where we can all join together because we are uniquely different and yet so similar. This project was also inspired by my art professor, Susan Czechowski, who has motivated and pushed me since I started at WIU during my undergraduate degree in Fall 2021."

All WIU students, faculty and staff are invited to participate. The exhibition is limited to two hundred people and each participant must bring their own t-shirt or tote bag to screen print the design.
