Analytics and Economics Day
The annual "Analytics and Economics Day," is presented by the Center for Economic Education and sponsored by the WIU Department of Economics and Decision Sciences. The day features a series of events that often include distinguished speakers, alumni presentations, current events programming, and interactive workshops. Special sessions are held for guests visiting from area high schools and community colleges. All events are open and free to WIU students, faculty, staff, and the local community.
Analytics & Economics Day 2019 will be held on Friday, October 4 in Stipes Hall 121.
9:00 A.M. "You can't hide your lying eyes: The economics of misreporting" with Drs. Babin and Chauhan
10:00 A.M. "Economics, climate change, and the impact on regional agriculture" with Environmental Economist, Dr. Tom Sadler
11:00 A.M. Distinguished Alumni Presentation with Mr. Rich Nelson, Chief Strategist & Director for Research at Allendale, Inc.
12:30 P.M. Game Theory Workshop for High-School students (RSVP Required, email jl-lin@wiu.edu)
2:00 P.M. "Career opportunities in economics & analytics" with WIU alumni panel
