About Me

Over the past forty years I have worked as an elementary teacher, elementary principal, middle school principal, assistant superintendent, superintendent, and college professor. At the present time I am working fulltime as a professor at Western Illinois University. I am also an educational consultant and mediator. Most of my consulting is in the area of school board governance, transitioning to the common core state standards, and applying current brain research to classroom instruction. Additionally, I have considerable experience with facilitating labor negotiations.
