Updates on unexpected interruptions or outages will be posted below. Note that STARS and WIUP are offline for maintenance every night from midnight to 3:00 a.m, and some Sundays between 7:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. Other systems may be offline between 9:00 p.m. Friday and 6:00 a.m. Saturday for scheduled server maintenance. Routine maintenance outside of these windows are posted to our Facebook and Twitter feeds.

We have been about to bring the Macomb campus internet back online via our back internet service provider(ISP). We are still working on our connection to the Quad Cities Campus.

Disruption Resolution - Phone System Outage (2:34pm)

University Technology has restored the analog phone system. Users with these phones are requested to please test that outgoing and incoming calls are functioning. Disruption Resolution - WIU-Secure wireless network restored (3:51pm)

We are aware that the WIU-SECURE wireless network is currently unavailable; technicians are working on the issue and hope to have it restored within the hour.

Disruption Update - Information on Recent Group Server Issue That Impacted File Access and Network Scanning (9:52am)

We are aware that there had been a recent issue with the Group Servers (“S: drive”) that had impacted some users. As of 9:45 am today (June 26) we believe this issue to be resolved.
Previously, users may have encountered delays when scanning documents to the network or been unable to access or modify files that they previously had access to.

If you are continuing to experience issues, please first restart your computer. If the issues persist after a reboot, please call the uTech Support Center at (309) 298-8324.
We appreciate your patience and understanding.
