Updates on unexpected interruptions or outages will be posted below. Note that STARS and WIUP are offline for maintenance every night from midnight to 3:00 a.m, and some Sundays between 7:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. Other systems may be offline between 9:00 p.m. Friday and 6:00 a.m. Saturday for scheduled server maintenance. Routine maintenance outside of these windows are posted to our Facebook and Twitter feeds.

Disruption Update - Wireless issues continue (1:28pm)

Our apologies; some users are still experiencing technical issues with the campus Wi-Fi. Our technicians are currently working to restore a stable connection. We will continue to provide updates as they are available.

The issues impacting connecting to the WIU-SECURE and WIU-DEVICE wireless networks has been resolved. Users should now be able to connect as expected; if problems persist after a reboot of your device, please contact us at support@wiu.edu.

We are aware of a currently issue impacting wireless access on campus. Individuals attempting to connect to the WIU-SECURE or WIU-DEVICE wireless networks may be unable to connect. Our technicians are aware and investigating.

Disruption Notice - Phone Service Issue (4:14pm)

We are currently experiencing an issue affecting campus phone services. Some users may be unable to place or receive calls at this time.

Our team is aware of the issue and is actively working to resolve it as quickly as possible. We will share additional updates once more information becomes available or service has been restored.

Disruption Notice - Internet outages expected between 5:00 and 8:00 p.m. today (4:48pm)

University Technology was just notified by our internet provider that emergency network maintenance is planned between 5:00 and 8:00 p.m. tonight, February 12th. There are expected to be interruptions in the University's internet access between these hours. Thank you for your attention.

Disruption Notice - Outgoing telephone call issues (11:33am)

We are currently experiencing an issue with campus phones making outgoing calls to some local numbers. We are working with McDonough Telephone (MDTC) to determine the full scope of the issue.
