The cloud you see is an anvil cloud This photo was taken the same day as the first, April 9th, 2015, about 13 minutes later at 4:37 pm. This one was of a small supercell thunderstorm as it approached campus. I did see it rotating as it moved overhead. Taken May 7th, 2015, this was of a small thunderstorm as it moved across campus.

This was taken September 5th, 2015, along a nature hike trail at Griswold Conservation Area, just outside of Blue Mound, IL. This photo was taken on WIU's campus on September 10th, 2015, facing westward. This is the detatched anvil of a thunderstorm that had weakened. This picture was taken facing northeast on September 18th, 2015. This is looking at a cluster of thunderstorms that was surrounding Macomb at that time.

Taken on September 10th, 2016, these flowers soak up the late summer sunshine. This photo was taken on September 16th, 2016, facing to the northwest. This was just as a small line of thunderstorms began to move into Macomb.
